And 11 days ago I said 'Oh, and so is walla walla'. I felt that there had to be two walla walla places for the sweet tooth fairy to work. And there are. One is Walla Walla County in Washington state, and the other is the city of Walla Walla, the county seat of Walla Walla County!

At first, I wasn't sure which way round to put them in the sweet tooth fairy. After exploring a number of possibilities I settled on the way it's listed. That is by postal address, so the first one is the city.

Interestingly (!) the city of Walla Walla grew from the town originally called simply Walla. It was a very nice town and eventually became the original town 'so nice they named it twice'. That's when it became Walla Walla. Just as well they'd already changed its very first name which was Steptoeville.
I don't know if the same is true of Walla Walla County. I guess they just had to call it that.
